After about 3-4 months I finally put into motion an idea I've had for a piece of art I've been wanting to do. It's not overly fancy or amazing but overall I'm pretty excited about it especially since I've been struggling a lot in the art area for quite awhile now. Plus, I'm realizing art is not always made for others, a lot of the time I think it is made for the artist herself.
I've been wanting to work on canvas again but this time I wanted it to be different, almost like breaking some sort of art/creation rule, if you'll permit me. I know, there are no rules. Anyway, this time I wanted to substitute the paint for paper, my favorite medium in and of itself.
If it turns out well I may work them into a series and perhaps find myself a cafe or art space that will present or show them. Big dreams, I know. That is something I've wanted to do for YEARS. Anyway, here are just some sample pics until the final piece can be shown in its entirety.
First I drew a horse on a 36" x 24" canvas then I started piecing together some really pretty paper bits in a pattern (some women have shoes, I have all sorts of paper) and the end result is yet to be!
